Technologie et Intégration a présenté sa nouvelle synthèse vocale ALLORA lors des journées Isaac de Dijon, et annonce sa commercialisation en France début mars :
Allora entre dans la catégorie de produits qui concurrenceront le célébre Lightwriter : saisie de messages sur un clavier azerty, mode prédictif, messages mémorisables,afficheur LCD, voix féminine et masculine,contrôle de l' environnement en option...

Allora is an easy-to-use keyboard based text-to-speech communicator. Any message written on the clear display is read out clearly and comprehensibly in a high quality natural sounding male or female voice.
Keyboard
Allora has a silicone elastomeric waterproof keyboard with normal sized keys. The tactile key switches have a smal travel and low actuation force.
Display
The LCD display consists of 2 lines of 40 characters. The character size is 0,218” by 0,125”. The first line is used to write the message. The second line displays the word prediction list.
Word prediction
Allora’s advanced text-to-speech system is extended with an intelligent word prediction system. While a message is written on the first line of the display, the second line displays a prediction list of words that begin with the already typed character(s). When a complete word has been typed or inserted, Allora predicts already the next words, based on its knowledge about word pairs. Allora’s word prediction can save about fifty percent of the amount of keystrokes which speeds up the communication significantly.
Preprogrammed messages
Allora has a special switch to recall prestores messages. Often used phrases can easily be programmed under any keyboard switch.
Environmental control
The optional infrared remote controle module (Gewa) allows you to control for instance your audio visual equipment with Allora. For instance, Allora can learn the infrared codes of your television to switch it on or to change the channel or volume.
